[Scope]

This guideline provides a structured framework for mobile robot users to discuss relevant issues with mobile robot vendors when deploying mobile robots in human-made environments, excluding public roads. The relevant issues include the following items:

  • Checkpoints within the building space covering both physical and digital aspects
  • Designated work area and prohibited areas for mobile robots
  • General safety measures for human-robot interactions

Note: AMRA-300 addresses the key considerations between mobile robot users and mobile robot vendors. However, facility constructors and decorators may also refer to these items when planning and designing smart buildings.
